“The Seagull”, by the Greek Georgios Ampatzidis, has won first prize of the 2015 Euro-Mediterranean literary contest annually organised by the IEMed and the Anna Lindh Foundation.
The Seagull”, by Georgios Ampatzidis, is set in Athens. It is the story of a young writer in full creative process faced with the difficulty of writing ─ without being despondent ─ about the crude reality of the inexorable march of pollution and contamination.
