2-10 May 2017. In cooperation with the Museum of Cycladic Art the museum kit entitled “Clothing in ancient Greece” was presented by the philologist Maria Spanou to pre-school and primary school children. This suitcase with educational material has been designed to travel us back to ancient Greece and inform us about the materials used by our ancestors for the fabrication of their garments; the children can also find out how garments were worn in the ancient times –peplos [body-length attire], chiton [tunic], chlamys [short cloak], himation [mantle/wrap]. 17-24 May 2017. In cooperation with the Museum of Cycladic Art the museum kit entitled “Playing in ancient Greece” was presented by the philologist Maria Spanou to primary school children. This suitcase with educational material has been designed to travel us back to Ancient Greece and make us aware of the games played by the children in the ancient times; some of them are still popular.
