Tripolis is a historical city in Greece and the capital of the Prefecture of the Peloponnese. The municipality of Tripolis has a vast experience in the management and implementation of funded projects, at a regional, national and an European level, as well and its administrative structure includes a Programming and Development Department, which is devoted to the set up and the management of funded projects. As a potential project partner, in addition to the expertise in funded projects, Tripolis brings a rich pool of resources and opportunities through its location, history and heritage. Also, through its close cooperation with the University of the Peloponnese, which is also based in Tripolis, the municipality has unlimited access to both technical and administrative consulting and expertise.Tripolis has developed a rigorous strategic plan that spans various axis, such as infrastructures, services, economy, employment, culture, environment, mobility, education etc. The municipality of Tripolis aims to strengthen and increase its participation in funded projects in these directions. Thus, it invites interested parties to join forces in the pursuit of funding at a regional, national and inter-regional in European level. In 2017 European Union – Council of Europe in the Project “Technical Assistance on Institutional Enhancement for Local Governance in Greece” by the Centre of expertise awarded municipality of Tripolis as a winners of the Best Practice Programme (started in October 2016).
