ALForum and AgorALF
As part of its efforts to strengthen cooperation among its National Networks, the Anna Lindh Foundation organises regular meetings and major Euro-Mediterranean events that bring together civil society organisations, young people, cultural and academic institutions, institutional representatives, and other key actors from across the Euro-Mediterranean region.
At national level, meetings of National Network members are organised, while the Heads of Network participate in regular coordination meetings with the Foundation’s Secretariat.
At the end of each three-year cycle, the ALForum is organised as the major gathering of the Foundation’s Euro-Mediterranean community, bringing together Heads, Co-Heads and members of the National Networks with the aim of fostering dialogue, networking and cooperation.
Since 2026, this three-year cycle has been complemented by the new AgorALF initiative, a more flexible mini-forum held during the intervening years, creating an additional space for meeting, exchanging ideas and developing cooperation among the Foundation’s members and partners. As a result, each three-year cycle now includes one ALForum and two AgorALF events.
ALForum
The ALForum is the largest event organised by the Anna Lindh Foundation and one of the most important spaces for dialogue and exchange within Euro-Mediterranean civil society. It brings together representatives of the Foundation’s National Networks, civil society organisations, young people, academics, media professionals, policymakers and institutional representatives from across the Euro-Mediterranean region.
The most recent ALForum took place in Tirana, Albania, from 18 to 20 June 2025, bringing together approximately 1,000 participants from the 43 countries of the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership. The event also marked the 20th anniversary of the Anna Lindh Foundation and the 30th anniversary of the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership / Barcelona Process.
The programme included plenary sessions, parallel thematic sessions, networking activities and artistic events, with the aim of facilitating knowledge exchange, fostering cooperation and highlighting shared challenges and initiatives across the region.

AgorALF
The AgorALF is a newer initiative of the Anna Lindh Foundation, designed as a more flexible and more frequent gathering of the Foundation’s Euro-Mediterranean community between the major ALForum events. Its aim is to provide a space for exchanging ideas, networking, cooperation, and the presentation of cultural and intercultural initiatives.
The first AgorALF 2026 was originally scheduled to take place on 27 and 28 April 2026 in Limassol, Cyprus, in cooperation with the Cypriot Head of Network. However, in April 2026, the Foundation announced the postponement of the event, taking into account developments and uncertainty in the wider region and giving priority to ensuring the safe and full participation of all invited participants.
According to the official announcement, AgorALF is expected to take place at a later date, when conditions allow. To date, no new date has been announced.
