Central Administration
The Greek Network is part of the international structure of the Anna Lindh Foundation and operates in direct connection with the Foundation’s Secretariat.
At the national level, the coordination of the Network ensures coherence across its activities, effective communication with its members, and connection with the Foundation’s Euro-Mediterranean initiatives.
Head & Co-Head
The Head of Network of the Greek Network is the Hellenic Foundation for Book and Culture, represented by Stefanos Vallianatos, Coordinator of the Network.
The Co-Head of Network is the non-profit organisation United Societies of Balkans, represented by Aristodimos (Aris) Paraschos.
The two organisations work together to coordinate and develop the Greek Network and to promote the objectives of the Anna Lindh Foundation in Greece.
The Head and Co-Head of the Greek Network:
- coordinate the planning and operation of the Network’s core structures and communication channels among its members, as well as their connections with organisations outside the Network,
- represent the Greek Network and convey the views, ideas and concerns of its members to the Anna Lindh Foundation and within the framework of its meetings and activities,
- promote the participation and cooperation of members at national and Euro-Mediterranean level,
- support the expansion, development and active engagement of the Greek Network.
Focal Points
To strengthen its regional presence and enhance the effective operation of the Greek Network, three Focal Points have been established, serving as points of reference for members across different geographical areas of the country:
- Northern Region: Thrace, Macedonia, Epirus and Thessaly
- Southern Region: Central Greece, the Peloponnese and the Ionian Islands
- Insular Greece: the Greek islands, excluding the Ionian Islands
The Focal Points strengthen the connection between the central coordination and Network members at the regional level. They contribute to the dissemination of information, the engagement and support of members, the development of new partnerships and the expansion of the Network. At the same time, they support the planning and implementation of activities in cooperation with member organisations and strengthen the presence and representation of the Greek Network at the regional level.
The Heads of the Focal Points are elected every three years through an online electoral process, in which members of each geographical region have the opportunity to stand as candidates and participate in the election of their regional representative. The Focal Point Heads work closely with the Head and Co-Head of the Greek Network and participate in regular meetings of the Network’s coordinating body.
Focal Points 2026–2028
The current term of the Focal Points runs from 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2028.
- Northern Region: Panagiotis Galanis – ARMONIA, Preveza
- Southern Region: Elvira Mentzelioti – Hellenic National Youth Council, Athens
- Insular Greece: Michalis Kavouklis – The House of Europe in Rhodes, Rhodes
