On Saturday, 18 November 2023, a cultural and outreach event was held at the Public Library of Serres in memory of Kaiti Emmanouilidou, attracting significant interest from the local community.
The first part of the event was dedicated to Kaiti Emmanouilidou and her important contribution to civil society. The Heads of the Greek Network reflected on their collaboration with her and introduced an annual cultural initiative in her memory, which will be funded by the Network and implemented by one of its member organisations.
The second part focused on the work of the Anna Lindh Foundation and the Greek Network, as well as on broader issues concerning civil society in Greece and Europe. Invited speakers contributed to the discussion by presenting recent institutional developments, funding opportunities and European youth policies.
Topics included recent legislative changes affecting Civil Society Organisations in Greece, the new priorities of the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes, and the potential impact of international developments and conflicts on civil society organisations in the European Union.
