On 23 June 2026, the Greek Network of the Anna Lindh Foundation and United Societies of Balkans (USB) implemented the second part of the two-day activity “Women’s Mental Health and Empowerment: Policies, Awareness and Collective Action” through an experiential dramatherapy workshop at Aspro Dentro in Thessaloniki.
The workshop built on the public discussion held the previous day and offered participants a safe and creative space for emotional expression, personal reflection, connection and collective support.
Through dramatherapy techniques, movement, visual expression, improvisation and group work, participants explored themes related to mental health, identity, loneliness, community, care and empowerment. The activities encouraged participants to express thoughts and feelings, identify shared experiences and transform personal journeys into collective narratives.
Particular emphasis was placed on creating a trusting and non-judgmental environment and on exploring creative methods as tools for awareness-raising and social dialogue. The workshop concluded with a reflection circle, where participants shared their experiences and key takeaways from the process.
The activity highlighted the importance of creating safe spaces for women, using arts-based and experiential tools in awareness initiatives, and strengthening cooperation among civil society organisations, mental health professionals and local institutions.
