18-22 July 2017, at 12.00-14.00, IWTCR premises. A creative writing workshop by the schoolteacher and author Giannis Tsitsimis. Giannis Tsitsimis was accommodated at the Center’s guesthouse and worked on his new novella “The two sisters”. On this occasion he implemented a creative writing workshop entitled “Rhodes, Aegean Sea: A route through saltiness and centuries”. The participants wrote short literary texts –poems, short stories, fairytales- about modern and old-time Rhodes as well as about the Aegean Sea as a special aesthetic experience. Monday 24 July 2017, at 19.00, IWTCR premises. Presentation of the literary texts on a lectern produced during the aforementioned creative writing workshop. Giannis Tsitsimis also presented his book “I am on hire and other short stories” (2013, Eneken publications) [«Ενοικιάζομαικαιάλλαδιηγήματα»]. Passages from the book were read by Hara Kontou; Giannis Papatheodorou played the guitar and there was a slideshow with photographs taken by Calliope Voutzali, photographer.
