In collaboration with the primary education school counselors of Rhodes, Eleni Stavropoulou, Petros Spanos and Haralambos Psaras training seminar for the school teachers who are responsible for the libraries in ten primary schools on the island of Rhodes which have been entered the panhellenic school libraries network following the decision of the Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs. The instructor Argyris Koskoros, IWTCR-librarian, spoke about the library science at a theoretical and practical level, how a library should be organized, its objectives, the necessary requirements for its smooth operation, the tasks that should be fulfilled in a library and the collaborations that can be initiated with other libraries or organizations. The school counselor Petros Spanos welcomed the seminar participants and Dimitris Kokkinos, laboratory university teacher in the Department of Primary Education at the University of Aegean, talked briefly about his own experience in organizing a school library and how he imparted his knowledge to his students as a pedagogue, teacher and activity educator.
